Sharon Erekson Sessions, 85, passed away October 28, 2023 at Barton Creek Assisted Living in Bountiful, Utah

 

She was born April 7, 1938 in Vernal, Utah, the daughter of George Hensley Erekson and Velma Bennion.  Sharon attended Utah State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and the Aggiettes Drill Team.  She married Gerald Keith Sessions, June 11, 1961, and this year, celebrated 62 years of marriage.

 

Sharon was a 2nd grade teacher for 32 years. She loved traveling the Washington/Oregon coast with Keith in their fifth wheeler.  She loved the arts and was an avid reader and a longtime book club member.  She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and Sunday School and enjoyed visiting teaching.

 

She was dedicated to her family and gave her children the best childhood and example of how to be a caring and loving person.

 

She is survived by her husband Keith, daughters Shelly Sessions and Polly Smith (Brad), grandchildren Madison Flinders (Riley) and Christian Smith.  Also survived by her sister Shirley Gardiner.   Preceded in death by parents and brother Ron Erekson.

 

Friends may visit family Friday, November 3, 2023 from 9-10:30 am at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E.  Interment to follow at Bountiful City Cemetery.
