Sharon Rose Skare, 73, passed away on December 20, 2012. Born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada to Arthur William Plaxton and Ruth Esther Shotton on April 19, 1939. She met and married Harry Creel and moved to the United States when she was just 18. She went on to become a naturalized citizen.
Sharon and Harry have three children together. She traveled the world with him while he served in the United States Air Force. After their divorce, she married Harlan Richard Skare (deceased).
Sharon was a lifetime Member of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in which she was serving as the current Guard. She is survived by her children, Carla (Stanley) Martinez; Cindy Leon and Darrell (Angie) Creel. Her grandchildren, Patrick, Phillip (Chris), William (Felicia), Chelsey (Zak), Danielle (Cody), Caylee and Damian. Great Grandchildren, Davien, Ricky, Luna, William, and Andrew. Also her sisters Aileen (Don) Leyte; Jean Frechette and Luella (George) Donini. She was also very proud of her many nieces and nephews, most of who reside in Canada; Carrie Lynn Frechette, David Plaxton, Ernie (Michelle), Plaxton; Doug (G''ina) Plaxton; Doreen (Peter) Nelmes; David (Mia) McGonigal and Michael (Flor) McGonigal. She is preceded in death by both her Mom and Dad as well as her brothers William, Robert, Ernie, and sister Marnie.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8307 in Layton (1389 Main Street) on December 30, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
