Sharon Leona Saunders Wade, 75, returned home to our Heavenly Father on September 9, 2013.
She was born in Ogden, UT on November 24, 1937 to Delroy and Leona Saunders. She married J. Louis Wade on November 10, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many Church callings, but her favorite was being the Primary Chorister.
Sharon taught at the Dee and Jefferson Elementary Schools in the Ogden City School District. She later taught children in her own preschool. She excelled as a teacher and enjoyed watching children learn.
She loved dancing, singing, music and Tai Chi. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in the ward choir. She loved participating in the Christmas Messiah Sing In, with her favorite part being the "Hallelujah Chorus".
Sharon had many talents. She wrote a song for her mother that we felt expressed our feelings for her.
I''ve learned to love you more each year, my mother. The sweetest sound you''ll ever hear, is mother. And as the sun comes up each day, You know she''s never far away. Though in person or spirit too, Her thoughts are never far from you. No one else stands by so true as mother, May God bless you, my dearest sweetest mother.
She was the mother of seven children. Fond memories of her will always include her making us fudge on rainy days that had rainbows.
Sharon is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years Louis; children, Sherry Wade (Betty) of South Ogden, UT; Richard (Robin) Wade of Washington Terrace, UT; Lisa (Reed) Allen of Washington Terrace, UT; Joyce (Allen) Whitehead of Washington Terrace, UT; Paul (Heather) Wade of Glen Allen, VA; and Susie (Todd) Wales of Glen Allen, VA; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one brother, Neil Saunders.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, her parents, and her sister, Sheila Wood.
