Sharron J. Jones WASHINGTON TERRACE – Sharron Jean Faulkner Jones, 82, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at her home. She was born September 14, 1927 in Ogden, a daughter of Lawrence and Edith Schofield Faulkner. On February 17, 1951, Sharron married Jimmie L. Jones. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Washington Terrace 10th Ward. She retired from Defense Depot Ogden following many years of service including numerous outstanding employee awards. Sharron enjoyed flower gardening. She also made beautiful ceramic gifts for her family. Sharron loved traveling and spending winters in Arizona. In 1979, a highlight of her life included the opportunity to tour Europe. She was a talented homemaker and created many lovely events for friends and family. Her contagious smile attracted many new friends. Surviving are her husband Jimmie of Washington Terrace; two sons and one daughter, Rory Jones, Ogden; Ed (Debbie) Jones, Layton; Candi Mellor, Lehi; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceding Sharron in death were her parents and one sister, Carole Lynn. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held at the mortuary on Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. She is dearly loved and will be missed by her family.
