Shelly Laureen Buckley born February 6, 1963 to her parents, Clyde Robert Buckley and Betty Lou Neilson in Salt Lake City Utah. Shelly was the youngest of seven siblings, Bob Buckley, Wayne Buckley, Valinda Child, Gale Buckley, Debra Buckley and Barbra Manning. Shelly was youngest of the siblings, the baby of the family, and was loved by everyone.
Shelly was one of a kind, having a strong personality, and she never forgot where she came from. She loved her family very much and was known to be “Favorite Aunt Shelly”, to all her nieces and nephews.
Shelly had four children, the Waddell’s. Michael was her first born and was always her batman. Then Barbra, her little girl, who she picked out in heaven under the apple tree singing the song “Sitting under the apple tree with nobody else but me”. Then she found her mermaid in heaven, in the mermaid pond, Samantha, who was always her “Sunshine Girl”. Her youngest son Patrick, who she found in the clouds as an angel in heaven. Shelly would tell her children beautiful and fun stories about how she picked them before they were born. She lived for her children, and it was always her against the world. She would work two jobs at Autoliv and the Swap Meet and was known and well liked for her oldies music and her sense of humor.
Shelly had the best parties for her children, where all the neighborhood kids would come and all can still remember all the fun scavenger hunts and party's Shelly would put together, on her own, so that her children would fondly remember their childhood. This was the best trait of Shelly, being the funnest mom in the world.
Shelly was the best mom and the strongest mom. She held on just to make sure her children were okay. She fought with her whole heart and her children loved her for that.
Shelly had lots of grandchildren, who she loved deeply, Evani, Octavia, Saleigha, Khloe, Julian, William, Betty Lou, Karleigh and baby Leighia.
Shelly was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne and her Mom and Dad.
Mom, we love you so much and will never forget you. You gave us so much and more than anyone could ever give to someone. You fought a hard fight and we are forever grateful that you chose us.
Rest easy mommy, you are forever loved, and our hearts are broken. We know you are no longer in pain and that brings us comfort. Love always, your children.
