Shelly Simpson Ellis

October 8, 1960 ~ September 11, 2016

Shelly Simpson Ellis, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on September 11, 2016. She was born on October 8, 1960 and raised in Hooper, Utah daughter of Joan and Jack Young. She married the love of her life, Dean Ellis on September 14, 1979, and together they had three children who they raised in Plain City, Utah.

Shelly was happiest and in her element when she was surrounded by her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, shopping at TJ Maxx or Ross, being outdoors in her flower gardens, and cooking goodies for family parties. Never was there an event without a baked goodie from Mom/Grammy. Shelly was a selfless, caring person who always had a kind word for all.  It didn’t matter if you were family or a random person in the store. Shelly cared about all and took the time to figure out what made you smile.  She loved to take care of people and her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.  She truly touched the hearts of everyone who met her.

Shelly is survived by her husband, Dean Ellis; her children, Ryan Ellis (Blair Nastasi), Tracy (TJ) Musbach, and Shane (Cassidi) Ellis; as well as her grandchildren, Devree, Presley, Hayes, and Dominic. She leaves behind countless friends and family members who will miss her dearly.  Grammy we love you to the moon and back.
