Shelly Lynn Lopaz, born on March 21, 1967, in Ogden, Utah, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Clinton, Utah. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother who filled the lives of many with joy and laughter.

Shelly graduated from Mountain High Landes, a testament to her determination and spirit. She had a passion for life that manifested in her hobbies and interests, including coloring, spending cherished moments with her children at hotels, enjoying drive-in movies, and acting silly just to elicit laughter from her family. Her caring nature and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Trevor Lopaz; her granddaughter, Rain Whitesell; her brother, Tyson Shafer; and her two sisters, Gina and Tanya. Shelly was also cherished by her parents, Thomas Grant Davis and Sandra Ann Shafer, as well as her stepfather Douglas Shafer and stepmom Betty Davis. These living relatives will forever hold dear the memory of Shelly, whose spirit and love touched their lives profoundly.

Shelly was preceded in death by her daughter, Aspen Lee Lane, and her brother, Brian Shafer, both of whom remain in the hearts of those who loved them.

A Graveside service will be held Friday October 18, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday October 18, 2024, from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary 1867 No. Fairfield Road Layton. 

Shelly's legacy of love and laughter will continue to warm the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was cared for to the end by her loving mother.
