Shelly Anne Wilmoth Payan died peacefully Monday, December 11, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family after fighting a long courageous battle with Neuroendocrine Pancreatic Cancer. Shelly was born on April 29, 1966 in Ogden, UT to Michael C. and Michele A. Wilmoth.

Shelly graduated from Roy High School and continued on to Steven’s Henager College where she earned her Associates Degree in Business Management. In 1987 Shelly became the first employee of Great Western Insurance Company where she helped grow the company for the last 30 years. She loved her career and the lasting relationships she made. She poured her heart and soul into her different positions.

She married Mike Payan on June 27, 1987; they later divorced. Shelly and Mike were blessed with two loving and caring children. Haydan and Hadley were her pride and joy. She was a fantastic mom who went above and beyond to care for her children. Shelly was not only a great mom but a best friend and confidant to both kids.

Shelly’s family and friends were the most important things in her life. If you were ever having a bad day she was the first one to put a smile on your face or make you laugh. Shelly never met a stranger!

She is survived by her two loving children, Haydan & Hadley; parents Mike & Mikey Wilmoth; siblings Shari (Roger) Skaja; Steve (Carla) Wilmoth; nieces; nephews; extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by nephew Dallin Wilmoth, her grandparents and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at The Hub 801 Event Center; 3525 Riverdale Rd., Ogden from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Please bring memories to share and a bottle of wine to toast this beautiful lady.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., at 11:00 a.m. Family condolences will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
