“She Fought The Battle”

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend from a 2 ½ year battle with ovarian cancer.  Sheran Mathie Sacco, 71, passed away on June 10, 2014 in Uintah, UT in the arms of her husband.  Mom was born on October 18, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to Gail and Mildred Mathie.  She graduated from Weber High in 1960.  She married dad on October 2, 1959 and they were later sealed together on March 28, 1990.

Mom enjoyed family time, cooking, and being there for others.  She worked hard along dad’s side in the family business for many years.

Mom is survived by her best friend of 54 years, Hugh Sacco, Sr., four children, Hugh Jr. (Wendy) Sacco, Hooper; Connie Sacco Lewis, Uintah; Mark (Tammy) Sacco, Mt. Green; and Christopher Sacco, Uintah; six awesome grandchildren and spouses, ten great-grandchildren, brother, Gary (Carol) Mathie, Tooele; and sister, Shirley Comeau, Hurricane; and so many more.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and Hugh’s parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Uintah 1 ^st Ward, 1775 East 6660 South.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
