HOOPER - Sherrie Greiner, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
She was born September 22, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of George D. and Sidonia McFerson, She graduated from Davis High School in 1961.
On September 25, 1964, she married Ed Greiner. They had two daughters, Jenny and Colette.
Sherrie was employed at IRS and later HAFB. After retirement she enjoyed working for Roy City as a crossing guard but her passion was being a Mom and “Granny”.
Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and reading. She also enjoyed supporting her girl’s barrel racing and her grandson’s many sporting events. She enjoyed camping with her family and was a lifelong member of the Good Sam’s RV Club.
Sherrie is survived by her daughters, Jenny Greiner, Hooper; Colette (Bryan) Crase, grandson, Daxton Crase, West Haven; and her sister, Norene McFerson, West Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband.
The family would like to thank Sunridge Assisted Living for all of their care and support this last year. Sherrie made many wonderful new friends while living at Sunridge including her best friends, Jean, Beth and Melba.
“You fought hard until the end and we will miss you”.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. The family will meet with friends Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Masks are optional.
