Ogden

Sherrie Marlene Henderson, a beacon of strength and beauty, graced the world with her presence from June 16, 1935, until her peaceful departure on April 2, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Ogden, Utah. A devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sherrie's indomitable spirit and fierce independence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born and raised in Ogden, Sherrie cultivated an enviable career within the realm of medical record keeping, lending her savvy professionalism to various esteemed medical practitioners, including a plastic surgeon and pediatricians. Yet her passions extended far beyond her occupational endeavors; she relished the excitement of driving buses during late shifts, where she encountered luminaries like Robert Redford, and gathered stories as colorful as the landscapes she traversed.

Beyond the world of work, Sherrie's heart beat with enthusiasm for life. She found joy in watching her granddaughters shine in riding clubs and rodeos, radiating pride as she cheered them on. A lover of sports, her own achievements in softball and track echoed her spirited nature, and she inspired many by coaching women's softball teams, melding camaraderie and competition with grace.

A woman of remarkable intellect and unyielding strength, Sherrie maintained her mental faculties until the end, symbolizing her enduring tenacity. Her love for travel took her across the globe, with memorable voyages including multiple cruises and enchanting trips to Italy, Russia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and France, weaving a rich tapestry of experiences that she cherished throughout her life.

Sherrie's pride and joy were manifested vividly through her family. She boasted about her sons, Martin and Perry, with unwavering adoration. As a grandmother to Heather and Jennifer, and a great-grandmother to Jayden, Camron, Danica, and Trace, her final conversations were woven with the accomplishments of her clan, a testament to the abiding love that filled her heart.

Sherrie is survived by her beloved family, including her son Martin (Sandra), her cherished granddaughters, her treasured great-grandchildren, and her dear siblings Larry Crouch and sister Sylvia Tacconi. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Perry Henderson, and siblings Mariam Welker and Bruce Crouch.

A legacy of love, strength, and beauty, Sherrie will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, illuminating their lives with the brilliant light of her spirit. She leaves behind a sorrowful yet grateful family, who will continue to honor her memory through their own lives and aspirations, inspired by the love and lessons she bestowed.
