Sherry Adkins, passed away on August 16, 2022 in Clinton, Utah. She was born on July 19, 1948 in Macon, Georgia, to Robert Milton and Barbara Rabel Daniel. Sherry’s journey through life was symbolic of her deep commitment and dedication to her husband, and to her children.
She married Val Adkins on October 28, 1983, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was a true example to enduring love and companionship, as they created a wonderful life together over the years. Sherry was retired from Hill AFB where she worked as an analyst and had been employed with Cardno EM-Assist at the time that she passed away. She was a very talented painter, an inspiring and comforting spiritual coach, an incredible chef, an avid gardener, and a true Southern Belle with a unique ability to bring wisdom, calm and comfort to those around her. She had a smile that would light up the room whenever she walked in, and no matter how challenging life was, that comforting smile let you know that somehow, everything was going to be alright.
She is survived by her children Scott Allmon (Tasha), Keith Allmon (Carrie), and Stacy (Lawrence) Graves, eight grandchildren: Mariah, Miranda, Maleah, Mikinley, Matthew, Alexandra, Benjamin, and Erin, and two great grandchildren: Kayden and Taylor-Kate. She was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson Brayden Graves, and special companions Keeta, Gabby and Suzie Q. She is also survived by her very special kitties, April and Raine, and her beloved dogs Kita and Heidi.
Sherry will be remembered not only for her love and devotion to her family but also for her selfless commitment and unwavering generosity to everyone around her. Her presence in the lives of those who knew her will be deeply missed. As we reflect on Sherry’s life, we celebrate the love, joy and happiness that she brought to her family and friends, which taught us all the beauty of love and the strength of the bond that unites us all.
