Sherry Donne Christiansen Criddle

FRUIT HEIGHTS a" Sherry Donne Christiansen Criddle passed away peacefully at the family home in Fruit Heights, Utah on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 surrounded by her family.
She was born the second daughter of four girls and two boys to Orrion Leon Christiansen and Ruth Irene Evans in Downey, Idaho. She grew up in Downey, and excelled in English, music, and won a trip to Chicago for a 4-H project.
She married her sweetheart Melvin George Criddle on June 6, 1950 in the Logan Utah temple. Their time together here lasted nearly sixty years, and they raised eight wonderful children together; Michael (Lynne), Julie Davidson (Brad), Carolyn, Ronald (Deborah), Kent, Diana Coatney (Tom), Stephen (Audrey), and Kevin (Laurie). She and Melvin were blessed with 31 grandchildren and have delighted in 31 great-grandchildren so far. Two grandchildren and one great-grandson have preceded her to Heaven, Bryan, Kristine and Brycen.
For the last 40 years, they have lived in the Kaysville and Fruit Heights, Utah area. She and Melvin retired from Hill Air Force Base after over 20 years of service. Since then they have enjoyed traveling about the country.
Sherry served in many church callings and she and Melvin served a mission to the Texas Corpus Christi Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in both the Ogden and Bountiful, Utah Temples.
She was preceded in death by her sister Lyn Christiansen, and is survived by her sisters Lois Jensen and Kaye Petersen and her brothers Dee and Randy Christiansen. Sherry loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.
Her family expresses their heartfelt thanks to Inspiration Hospice for their compassionate care during Sherry''s last weeks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Country Lane Chapel, 24 So. Country Lane, Fruit Heights. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Marsh Valley Cemetery, Downey, Idaho at 4 p.m.
She will always be loved by her family who look forward to many joyful reunions in eternal realms on high.
