Sherry R. Locke OGDEN – Sherry Beth Rosell Battisti Locke, 56, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her home in Ogden of pneumonia. She was born June 25, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a daughter of Roland “Rosie” and Aileen Rosell. Sherry cherished her family, whether it was the delight of her granddaughter or visiting friends of 30 plus years. She was a very joyous, loving soul whose delight was contagious to those around her. Her love of the outdoors often took her to Ogden Valley or the golf course. Despite a difficult period of addiction, she overcame Breast Cancer and was an active member of the Washington Heights Baptist Church, born again to God in 2003. She was a member of the church choir, and had celebrated 15 years of sobriety. Sherry had struggled recently with many health problems and those closest to her are thankful her suffering is at an end. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Weston Locke, daughter Vanessa Battisti, her granddaughter Makayla, her sister, Beverly (Rosell) Wilcox, and her mother, Aileen Rosell. Sherry will be remembered in a memorial service on Friday, July 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ogden, 2519 Jefferson Avenue. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Crematory.
