Sheryl Krebs Camp
May 3, 1950 ~ September 16, 2016
Sheryl Krebs Camp, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, September 16, 2016 from many health complications. She was born to Jess Smith and Kerma Rowcliff Krebs on May 3, 1950 and was raised in Ogden, Utah. After the passing of her mother, she was blessed with a wonderful stepmother Nora France Brown. She married Lamont Dee Camp, the love of her life, on June 4, 1970 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised four children in South Ogden, Utah.
Sheryl was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in many church callings. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1968. After graduation, she attended Hollywood Beauty School and from there ran their beauty salon. Sheryl worked for many years at Mont’s Shoe Repair Shop, Cutters Lab, Levolor Blinds, and then retired from Autoliv.
Sheryl was a selfless, caring person who always put her family first. Her passion in life was watching her grandkids grow, crafting, sewing, baking, reading, and music. Sheryl cared about everyone. The greatest joy in her life was being a mother, wife, and grandmother. Sheryl had the kindest heart and always spoke great words. She truly was a great example to all, as she touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with.
Sheryl is survived by her loving husband Lamont Dee Camp; her children BridieLynn, Errick (Melissa), Brandon (Shannon), and Charles (Crysta); as well as her grandchildren Brenden, Tyler, Drake, Brinley, Shaylee, Dameon, Ezekiel, Anthony, and McKynlee. Sheryl is also survived by her brothers John and Lance; her three sisters Claudia, Korinne, and Helene. She leaves behind countless family members and friends. Grandma, we will miss you dearly.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Kerma Krebs, stepmother Nora France Brown, and in-laws Cecil Mayo and Gretta Camp.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
