Shinji Ichida

Shinji Ichida, 91, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. He was born on June 13, 1931 in Seattle, WA to Ainosuke Ichida and Kikuko “May” Tominaga.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for many years and retired from the Utah State Tax Commission. Shinji was a prominent member of the Ogden Christian Church.

Shinji married June Iseki on June 28, 1964 in Ogden, Utah. June passed away in 2019.

He was a fan of all sports and cheered on the Jazz, Wildcats, Utes, Mariners and Seahawks. He played baseball and fastpitch softball in his younger days, and coached little league baseball and church league softball.

Shinji is survived by his son, William Scott Ichida of Woods Cross and daughter, Dannette Aiko Cleveland of Lake Stevens, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Ichida.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
