Shirlene Brower

August 1, 1934 ~ March 15, 2019

Shirlene Brower passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019.

She was born on August 1, 1934 to Charles and Vella Murri. Shirlene was second youngest of four children. She was born and raised in Idaho. Her family eventually moved to Utah where she lived in Clinton for 43 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had many friends both in and out of the church. She served faithfully in the temple and as a missionary at the Bishop’s Storehouse.

On October 26, 1956, Shirlene married her sweetheart, Harmon Ray Brower in St. Anthony, ID. They were later sealed in the LDS Ogden Temple for time and all eternity. Harmon passed away November 17, 2006. They are happily together again.

In later years, Harmon and Shirlene joined the Holiday Rambler Group, enjoying many a camping trips to Yuma in the winter. She later became an active member of her local senior center. One of her particular joys was to play Bingo with her friends.

Shirlene worked in many different professions, including working for Whitehead Electric, from which she retired.

Shirlene had many hobbies and interests, of which she was very talented. She always had a well-kept flower garden in the summer. She also enjoyed needle point, crochet, and knitting. She was very generous with her talents and would make thousands of hats and scarves for anyone and everyone. She donated many of these to the homeless and to NICU babies.

She is survived by her children: Kevin Brower (Barb Daly); Teresa (Ken) Terry; Steven Brower; brother, Darwin (Carol) Murri; eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, for whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the Quail Meadow Assisted Living staff for their special love and care for their mother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clinton Cemetery.
