NORTH OGDEN - Our beloved wife, sister, mother and friend Shirlene Pace Udink Tremaine passed away suddenly yet peacefully on Sunday, November 21, 2010 due to complications from a recent surgery.

She was born February 20, 1937 in Hoytsville, Utah to parents Alvin C. Pace and May Richins. Shirlene was raised in Summit County in a devout Mormon family with three wonderful sisters: Vione, Dixie, and Marie and three foster brothers: Monte and Bob Angel and Larry Butts.

She attended Utah State University before moving to San Francisco, California where she met and married Robert Budd Haycock in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1957. Together they had two children, Rebecca and Jim. They later divorced. In 1980, she married William Udink in Ogden and they spent 27 great years together until his passing in 2007. She also enjoyed a close relationship with his children: Bart, Ann, Blake, Brian and their children. She married William Tremaine of North Ogden in late 2007 and remained a steadfast helper and loving partner during their three years together. She also enjoyed a close relationship with his son Todd and his family.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Shirlene never wavered from her faith and was blessed throughout her life with many wonderful friends and church callings. She had a special desire to serve and was always eager to help others in need.

Shirlene was employed for 30 years at the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden and was a supervisor in the Human Resources department when she retired.

She enjoyed sewing, needlework, cooking and the many fun times she spent with Becky and her family and especially having her little grandkids stay with her. She was especially close to Katie, Ashlee, and Shawnee and had a profound influence on their lives.
