Shirley Hamblin

CLEARFIELD - Shirley Ann Stauffer Hamblin passed away July 22, 2016 at the age of 87.

She was born to Della Rachel Rindlisbacher and Alvin Godfrey Stauffer of Providence, Utah.

She married Odean M. Hamblin on May 8, 1947 and moved to Clearfield where she lived for 69 years.  She was a friend to everyone that was lucky to have met her.

She was an active member of the Clearfield LDS 2nd Ward.  Shirley held various callings; the one she enjoyed most was the birthday calls she made to the ward members.  Shirley also worked many jobs, she was a volunteer at Rocky Mountain Care Center for several years and loved helping others.

She loved crocheting, cooking, canning, the outdoors, and hunting, she simply enjoyed life.

Shirley is survived by her children: Teresa Bonnani Hamblin and Lee Odean Hamblin (Shirley), grandchildren Bobby Lee Hamblin, Peter Anthony Bonanni III, Keith Odean Hamblin, Vincent Valentino Bonanni (Kelly), Ashley Michelle Hamblin (Larry), two great-grandchildren Molly and Oliver.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Odean, father Alvin and Mother Della, brother, Sheldon Von Glenn, sister-in-law, Irene Egget, brother-in-law, Danny Hamblin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
