Shirley Tesch Bird

ROY - Shirley Ann Tesch Bird, 84, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.

She was born December 15, 1925 in Ogden, a daughter of Henry and Annie Augusta Lehman Cook.

Shirley married Paul John Tesch in January of 1946. Paul died in 1991. She married George Perry Bird on December 28, 2004 in Roy.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as a Stake Primary President, Ward Relief Society President and in various other callings throughout her life.

Shirley enjoyed sewing and knitting. She loved and supported her children and grandchildren. In her later years in life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Perry.

Surviving are her husband Perry, of Roy; three children, Judy (Ronald) Cemer, Redlands CA; Wendy (John) Perkins, Roy; Todd (Dawn) Tesch, Ogden; 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Rebekka, Jason, Ashlie, Amy, Damon, Dustin, Brandyn, Tyler, Isaiah and seven great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one brother, Richard Henry Cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Paul John Tesch, and her brothers, Rodney Kay Cook and Michael Steffen Cook.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will meet with friends at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
