Shirley Lou Blanchard

Shirley Lou Blanchard, 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. She was born in Trenton, UT to Hyrum F. Payne and Sylvia Smith on November 20, 1934.

Shirley married Larry Blanchard on April 29, 1978 in Elko, NV. She and Larry were sealed in the Ogden Temple on December 12, 1981. They would have celebrated their 45^th Anniversary at the end of this month.

She worked for Sperry Univac as a wiring and soldering technician for many years. She loved to decorate their entire home for the holidays and you would always find her crocheting baby blankets, clothes, and decorations. Shirley also served in many church callings.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Larry Blanchard; children, Max (Cindy) Call and Katy (Mark) Yardley; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; children, Christine Call, Bobby E. Call, Jr. and Patricia Call; six siblings and granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
