Shirley L. Ebaugh
NORTH OGDEN – Shirley L. Ebaugh, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from complications following a fall in April. Shirley was surrounded by family as she passed.
Shirley was born July 12, 1930 in Ogden, to Walter S. and Hazel Cecil Dailey.
She married Charles W. “Bill” Ebaugh on June 21, 1947 in his hometown of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. They had three children, Kay, Terry, and Julie.
Shirley was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings throughout the years including Primary President. She had taken out her own endowments.
She worked for J.C. Penney for over 25 years, both the old store on 24th and Washington Blvd., and the store in the Ogden mall for many years. Following her retirement, she missed being around people so she went to work for Cream O’ Weber Dairy doing demonstrations in local grocery stores.
Shirley was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Red Hat Ladies. She had also been involved with the Child Abuse Prevention Council. Shirley loved meeting new people and talking to them, especially about her grandkids and their accomplishments.
Surviving are her daughter, Julie (Ed) Reese; grandchildren, Shawn, Dawn, Mike, Todd, Phillip, Kyle, Crystal, and Beckie; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and two children, Kay and Terry.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 18 at 10 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden.
Family and friends may gather at 1646 North 2850 West in Plain City between 12 noon and 3 p.m., following the graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Primary Children’s Medical Center, 100 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84113.
