Shirley Vroqua Hansen
Shirley Vroqua Hansen, 76, passed away February 11, 2021 in Ogden, Utah. Shirley was born to the late Kenneth and Jessie Davies on May 15, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married the love of her life, Floyd Hansen on August 27, 1977, later deceased. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and devoted over 20 years teaching Primary.
Shirley had joy for life, love for anyone she met, and had a special way of making others laugh while making them lifelong friends. Shirley never missed an opportunity to celebrate life and livened up everyone’s holiday by dressing up for the occasion for as long as she could. Her love of traveling resulted in a collection of T-shirts from all the places she visited making sure to remember everything. She kept her garden impeccable, taking special care of her most favorite flowers, lilacs, tulips and pansies.
Shirley will be remembered most for bringing that special sunshine in our lives, with her singing and her infectious laugh, never ending phone calls, and just being there for anyone that needed her. Our sweet mother will forever remain in our hearts with every rain drop, sunray or beautiful sunset, but most of all her beautiful smile.
Shirley is survived by her son Wayne and Melissa Hansen, daughter Vroqua King, grandchildren Dylan and Amara King, Zoey, Jonas and Jax Hansen; brother Don and Pamela Davies, sister, Dian Davies. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Connie Manning, husband Floyd Hansen and son, David Nelson.
