Shirley Wright Hart
SYRACUSE a" Shirley Wright Hart, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, February 6, 2011.
He was born in Thayne, Wyoming to Parley Wright and Florence Hemmert Hart. He graduated from American Fork High School in 1941 and married his high school sweetheart, Betty Ruth Johnson. Shirley and Betty would have celebrated their 70th anniversary.
Shirley joined the Army Air Corp and served in England during WWII. He was shot down three times. After the war he returned to his position at HAFB. He retired after 37 years of service to his country.
Shirley enjoyed hunting and camping with his family. He was a member of the Bountiful Jeep Posse. After retirement from HAFB he worked for Case, Lowe & Hart Engineering and did upholstery work for family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Betty, sons, Shirl (Eldora) Hart, Roseville, CA; Jeffrey (Robin) Hart, Mission Vejio, CA; Martin W. Hart, Syracuse; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one brother, Carlos (Marge) Hart, WA; and daughter-in-law, Sherryl Hart.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Duane, sister Florene, and sons Roger and Ronnie.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and nurses of Caregivers Support Group and Legacy Village for their loving care.
