Shirley E. Miller Haskell, 88, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011.

Shirley had many names and was often called "Friend, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Granny" but she was known as the "Greatest Grandma" by everyone that was honored to know and love her. Thank you for all the Love and Blessings you gave to each and every one of us. We miss you Granny!

Shirley was born July 2, 1923 in Harmony, Minnesota to Leon and Cora Smith Lipkie.

On July 15, 1944, Shirley married Alvin S. Miller in Harmony, Minnesota. Alvin preceded her in death on June 18, 1957. On July 5, 1958, Shirley married Elmer G. Haskell in Elko, Nevada and he passed away on June 18, 1984.

Shirley was a member of the United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Girls Scouts of America, Moose Lodge, American Legion and the Glen Eagle Golf Association.

Shirley enjoyed baking for her family, Cross-stitch, crocheting, golf, dancing of all kinds, especially Western Square Dancing and playing pool.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Butch (Cindy) Miller, South Ogden; Bill (Terri) Miller, Anchorage, AK; seven daughters, Barbara J. (Joseph) Trujillo, Colorado Springs, CO; Judy Ann Thompson, Clinton; Dianne Shirley (Charlie) Metzler, Clinton; Coralee Brown, Ogden; Rhonda Malloy, South Ogden; Norene (David) DeTorres, Roy; Maryann Haskell, Roy; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, 33 step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, a daughter, three sisters, one brother and two sons-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 15th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, September 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
