Shirley Hales Hill passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born July 2, 1927 in Ogden, Utah to Harry and Olive Farr Hales.

On September 29, 1952, Shirley married Fred L. Hill, Jr. in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Shirley was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving in many calling.

She worked for New York Life Insurance where she retired from after many years. Shirley was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed cross stitching, music and word searches.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Fred; two sons, Scott L. (Tammy) and Roger J. (Cheryl); nine grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Blechert; and her two sisters, Lucille Summerhayes and Rae Bateman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
