Shirley Johnson

January 31, 1932 — April 29, 2018

Shirley Jean Johnson passed away peacefully in her home April 29, 2018 covered by her mother’s homemade quilt and surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 31, 1932 in Helper, Utah.  She was the daughter of Leonard Ralph and Dora Deeben Thayn.  She had a happy childhood in Helper and graduated from Carbon High School.

She married Donald Devan Bradshaw on June 28, 1950 in Helper, Utah.  They had four children.  They were later divorced.

Shirley married Ferrall Ray Johnson, the love of her life, on December 31, 1971.

Shirley loved spending time in the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing.  She loved bowling and golfing. She was so proud of her hole in 1 at the Davis County Golf Course.

Shirley is survived by her four children, Dale Nevan (Robin) Bradshaw, Terri Ann (Grant) Whitesides, Scott Glenn (Linda) Bradshaw, and Shellee Jean (John) Stoughton.  Ferrall’s children, Cheryl (Lynn) Stanger, Sharon Ryan, Brent (Lori) Johnson, and Brian (Michelle) Johnson.  Ferrall and Shirley have 29 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Leah and brother, Cleon.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
