Shirley Warne Korth

CLEARFIELD a€" Join us in celebrating the life of Shirley L. Warne Korth who passed away surrounded by her girls when she returned to Jesus on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Davis Hospital from complications to age related illness.

Shirley was born on the 15 of March 1920, to Mary and Clarence Jensen in Ogden, Utah. She joined the U.S. Military WAAC''S and following her two years of service, Shirley returned home to the Ogden area.

She married Bill Warne and had three children, Beverly, Lynette and Claire. Bill died in 1971. She married Dean Korth in 1984 and he died in 2005.

Shirley worked for Sears, L.R. Samuel''s and retired from Hill Air Force Base where she received many awards.

Shirley will be remembered for her beautiful handiwork in making porcelain dolls and teddy bears. She leaves a legacy behind with her talent.

Shirley is survived by her children, Beverly (Bob Wheelecor) Seager, Lynette McEntire, and Claire (Heath) Roberts; her grandchildren, Jay (Drew) McEntire, Scott (Deena) McEntire, Chris McEntire, Stacy McEntire, Jessica (Tom) Pace, Kellye (Jason) Potter and Chloe Roberts; nine great-grandchildren and her sister, Leslie Gorder.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, a sister, Claire Allen, and her brothers, Ernie and Bill Strain.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Shawn McCreany officiating.

Family will greet friends at the mortuary on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Chancellor Gardens and Caregivers Support for their dedication and kindness rendered in Shirley''s behalf.
