Shirley Christine Morrison Neeley, 72, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at Wasatch Care Center in Ogden following a valiant battle with cancer.
She was born November 25, 1935 in Winnfield, Louisiana, a daughter of Herman Harold and Margaret Eva Rice Lawrence.
On September 1, 1951, Shirley married William D. Morrison in Bossier City, Louisiana. They were later divorced. She married Lewis H. Neeley on September 11, 1972 in Logan, Utah. Lewis preceded her in death on July 21, 1994. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple on August 22, 1995.
She had lived in Louisiana, Springville and Roy, Utah.
Shirley was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Steven H. (Judy) Morrison, Ogden; Jimmie C. (Karen) Morrison, Springville, UT; Russell K. (Lisa) Morrison, Roy; Yvonne (Stephen) Bajona, Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters, Howard Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Catherine Loescher, Ruby Hurst, Carrie Christensen and Ramona Reyna.
Preceding Shirley in death were her parents, her husband Lewis, son, William D. Morrison II, daughter, Patricia Sue Morrison and her brother, Raymond Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, with Bishop Brad Moore of the Roy 30th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
