Sidona Elizabeth Allred

Sidona Elizabeth Allred passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born August 13, 1932 in Thief River Falls, MN, the only child of Arthur J. and Martha Poston Baltz. An alumnus of John Muir College, she also attended Los Angeles City College.

Sid married Bob Allred November 24, 1954 in La Canada, CA. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. Her family was the focal point of her life; she cherished her husband and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. An avid reader, Sid also loved to knit and spent hours caring for her roses. A member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary and Relief Society organizations and was a faithful Visiting Teacher.

She is survived by daughters Karin & Cotton Rosser; Kristin & Chris Williams; Shannon Milligan; Allison Allred; adopted daughter Leeanne Hill; grandchildren Katharine Rosser; Jennifer (Broc) Gresham; Lance (Stephany) Williams, Kylee Williams; Jennifer (Ryan) Lonergan; Zachary (Jennie) Jensen; Ashley (Wesley) Kay; Justin (Katie Jo) Jensen; Cody Allred and Heather Hill plus 10 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Irene Holman. Preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents and great-grandson Statton Williams.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery with President Al Gabrielson officiating.
