Sierra Sue Weakly
KAYSVILLE – Sierra Sue Weakly, 72, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Layton, Utah.
She was born January 4, 1942 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Donald and Alta Mae Preston Altizer.
She was formerly married to Edward C. Weakly.
Sierra was raised in Burlington, Iowa. She then moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, then to Rifle, Colorado while working as a laboratory technician. From there she lived in the Denver metropolitan area (Morrison) for many years. She spent over a decade working at Alegent Health in Missouri Valley, Iowa before retiring to be close with the youngest son’s family. She moved to Kaysville, in 2012 where she lived with her youngest son’s family.
She liked sewing and making Christmas decorations. Sierra loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, eating out and getting manicures with her granddaughter.
Survived by her sisters: Terry, Capitola, Robin, brother: Ronald, sons: Jeffrey, Timothy, step-sons: Richard, Charles and step-daughter: Jannelle.
Preceded in death by her parents.
