Skuntala Liddell
Skuntala Liddell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at her home with her loving family beside her. Skuntala affectionately known as Piak by family and friends, was born in Thonburi, Thailand on November 3, 1943 to Udom and Prajit Laomephol. Skuntala served as a nurse in the Royal Thai Navy and later as a registered nurse in Maryland.
She married Scott Kent Liddell on November 25, 1975 in Bangkok, Thailand. Scott and Skuntala lived in San Diego, CA, Bloomington, IN and Silver Spring, MD before settling in Ogden in 2006.
Skuntala was cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her and be blessed by her hospitality and kindness. She enjoyed gardening, traditional Thai dance, music and traveling with her family. She was an extraordinary hostess and cook and delighted in sharing her amazing cooking. While she was especially known for her Thai cooking, her skills were unlimited.
One of her many gifts was the kindness she shared with everyone. Her ever-present smile and laughter made others feel comforted and welcomed in her presence. Her sweet spirit was an incredible gift to her family. She adored her husband and children above all and wanted nothing more than to share her love, warmth and support. Just holding her hand provided an amazing sense of peace.
Skuntala is survived by her husband, Scott Liddell; son, Alan (Melissa) Liddell; daughter, Erin Liddell; grandson, Marcus Liddell; and brother, Daeng Laomephol.
Traditional Thai Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 1 p.m at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
