Skylar B Stark, 28, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 peacefully at his home. He was born June 5, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Bernie Lyle and Kerin Smedley Stark. He graduated from Northridge High in 1997. Skylar married Annie Moreno, the love of his life, in 2000. Their lives were blessed on February 21, 2001 with a beautiful angel, Haylee Anita. They were later divorced but remained good friends.
Skylar was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was passionate about the outdoors; he loved camping, fishing and snowmobiling up at the family property in the Uintas. He loved to spend time with his daughter no matter what they were doing. Skylar was nicknamed "Mr. Party Party Party" from an early age. He loved to have people around. His mom always said that Skylar plus one was a party for him. He loved to have people over to barbecue steak and crab legs. He loved to entertain and tell jokes. His favorite place to be was at The SeaChal on the Oregon coast in Gleneden. He loved his 250 pound lap dog Bruno (Big Boon), an English mastiff, and his Weimaraner, Raver. He was meticulous about his vehicles; they were always showroom clean. He was also known as Mr. Klean because of his clean shaven head and his clean appearance. Skylar was employed by his father''s company, Bernie Stark Construction, Inc. He also worked with his dad in their second business, Utah Bamboo Fly Rods. He was well loved and will be missed by his family and his large group of friends.
Skylar is survived by his parents Bernie and Kerin Stark, Layton; daughter Haylee Anita, Layton; brother Brawn (Stacey) Stark, Layton; Papa Paul Smedley, Syracuse; Clista Stark, Layton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his MaMere, Lynn Smedley, Grandpa Wayne Stark and Uncle Lee Stark.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
