Sonja Palludan Webb

Sonja Palludan Webb, 77, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born May 5, 1939 in Esbjerg, Denmark to Peter Palludan Aa and Lilly Buch. She arrived in the United States at age 11. She graduated from Granite High School and Stevens Henager Business School.

On August 27, 1959, Sonja married Paul Melvin Webb in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a faithful member of the LDS Church where she held various leadership and teaching positions. Through the church, she made many cherished, life-long friendships; they were always there for her and she was always there for them.

Sonja taught pre-school and owned and operated Sonja’s Dance Academy for 13 years.

She enjoyed shopping dancing, working in her flower garden. She loved her kids and grandkids and had a love and compassion for them and those around her.

Sonja is survived by her husband, Paul; their children, Kent (Sharon) Webb, Alisa (Todd) Cheney, Bruce (Angie) Webb, Angela (Kenny) Steckelberg, Amber (Scott) Turner, Kirk (Tricia) Webb, 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Judy (Doug) Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Macey, and daughter-in-law, Tina.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Clinton 15th Ward Chapel, 2841 West 1300 North. The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
