Stacey Sweeten
April 4, 1966 ~ September 13, 2014
On Saturday, September 13, 2014 we lost a very special member of our family. Stacey Sweeten, lost a mercifully brief battle with cancer.
Stacey joined our family on April 4, 1966, daughter of Richard “Dick” and Valerie Ormond Sweeten.
Stacey graduated from Bonneville High School in 1983. She married Terry Muzzy in 1988. They later divorced. Her children are Janae and Trevor Muzzy. She has one granddaughter, Emylee.
Stacey was passionate about her work, running a successful business Emissions Supply of Utah. For the past six years Stacey was employed at Convergys where she was blessed with many good friends.
Forever the Tomboy Stacey spent her free time camping, fishing, and kicking everyone’s ass at pool. She won the Weber County Women’s League Championship after becoming Rookie of the Year.
Stacey entertained our family and boosted the moral of her coworkers with her uncanny knowledge of music trivia and that great sense of humor she inherited from her dad.
Stacey was a strong and kind woman which made her a wonderful single mother. Her children and her granddaughter meant the world to her.
Stacey is survived by her mother, brother Ted J. Sweeten, Springfield, OR; sisters, Vicky (Bob) Britton and Brenda Sweeten, Ogden; two nieces and two nephews, and her lifelong partner in crime Mary B. (Brad) Hart.
She was preceded in death by her father, brother Cliff, and her grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
America First Credit Union will be accepting donations on behalf of her children.
