Stacy Ann Bond-Bero passed away peacefully at her home on September 14, 2022. She was 50 years young.
Stacy was born on January 26, 1972, to Richard E. Bond and Brenda D. Bond. Her beautiful daughters Bre Jorgensen and Sarah Bero, share the same 26th day in their respective birthday months; a reflection of the special bond they share. They honored this statistical anomaly by getting matching ‘26’ tattoos.
Stacy grew up in South Ogden, Utah, with her siblings Rob and Sherry. As a young girl she spent countless weekends with her family in the Uinta Mountains. There, you could find her bouncing down what seemed to be endless dirt roads, while crossing multiple rivers in order to get to ‘the special spot’. Rock-throwing, rafting, hiking and fishing ensued, creating her life-long love for the outdoors. In school, Stacy was always top of her class. She made school work look easy to her younger siblings. After high school, Stacy excitedly attended the nursing program at Weber State, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Nursing. Stacy then married and was blessed with her two beautiful daughters. Together, they moved into her home and sanctuary in Mountain Green, Utah.
Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Stacy, knew of her incredible inner drive. She used this drive to work, raise her girls as a single Mom, and continue her education by becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Shortly after settling into her new career, Stacy met the love of her life Matt Bero. As part of her dating routine, she would take her dates running and/or biking to see if they could keep up. In Matt, Stacy finally met her match. The two fell in love and married on April 16, 2009 in Kauai. They shared this trip with their children and so began her love of Kauai and the near annual trips. During this time, Stacy decided to go back to school. She fulfilled her lifelong goal of earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah. In her medical career, Stacy helped countless patients, not just medically, but also through her incredibly kind and loving bedside manner.
Stacy’s love for nature and desire to push herself resulted in her completion of marathons, ultramarathons, extensive road bike races, and many adventures with her husband, daughters, parents, siblings and friends. Stacy lived life on her terms and taught all those around her the power of chasing your dreams.
Stacy is survived by her husband Matthew Bero, children Bre Jorgensen, Sarah Bero (Sergio), Cristian Bero, and Alex Bero; mother Brenda Bond; siblings Rob (Krystal) Bond, Sherry (Jared) Malan; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends; and her fur baby, Solomon.
She is preceded in death by her father Richard Bond, and furry besties Zeak and Libby.
Rest easy our sweet, beautiful Stacy. We imagine you surrounded by angels while dancing with fairies.
In lieu of flowers, love deeply, chase your dreams and live life to the fullest as Stacy did.
A private family gathering will be held at the Bero residence. For details, please reach to the family.
