Stanley M. Jensen

Passed away June 17, 2009. Born July 11, 1931 in Levan, Utah, the eldest of five children born to Joseph M. and Emma Christensen Jensen. Moved to Mt. Pleasant, Utah in 1937, to Clearfield in 1942.
Married LuDean Mellor Parkin December 5, 1953 in Las Vegas, NV. She had one son W. Dan Parkin. Stan raised Dan and loved him dearly. Stan attended schools in Mt. Pleasant, Davis High School and Weber College.
Served in the U.S. Air Force for four years stationed in Germany also George AFB in California. Worked for a short time at HAFB. Worked at Thiokol Chem Corp for 30 years, retired in 1988. Worked as Water Master, for Clearfield Secondary Water system for approximately three years.
Stan had many hobbies, fishing, restoring old cars and antique pocket watches and gardening. Spent winters in Yuma, Arizona.
Survived by wife of 55 years, one son W. Dan (Sandy) Parkin, Clearfield; three grandsons, Eric D. (Kari) Parkin, Layton; Stanley E. (Melissa) Parkin, SLC; Landon P. Parkin, Layton; seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Karla (Max) White, Springville; Janice (Ken) Pierce, Syracuse; and brother, Wayne Jensen, SLC.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gerald and one grandson Kyle A. Parkin.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
