Stanley Junior Bond

Stanley Junior Bond, 83, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at his home.

He was born June 23, 1925 in Ogden, Utah to Henry and Lida Kammeyer Bond. He was raised and educated in the Ogden area. He graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State College.

He served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad as a Fireman Oiler.

On June 27, 1952, Stan married Elma Jean Ross in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2000.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Stan is survived by his children: Judy (Olen) Sturgeon, Redding, CA; Michael J. Bond, Ogden; Kathy Roper, Smartsville, CA; Arlene (Robert) Beck, West Haven; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Eugene (Sophie) Bond, South Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elma Jean, parents, sister and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 26th at 1:00 p.m in Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., with the military honors accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
