Stanley Earl Parkin
Clearfield a" Stanley Earl Parkin returned to Oneness on Wednesday, December 19th, 2012. Stanley was lovingly born to Dan and Jolene Parkin, November 26, 1980, in Ogden, Utah.
Stanley was a Gem, a gift to us all. Words cannot describe the devotion of his heart and his light in this world. His ability to see and to give in each moment was unmatched. He loved those he served at the autistic adult group home, especially Doug, who was part of the family. The highlights of his life surely have been the births of his radiant children and time spent with them and the love of his life, Melissa.
Stanley loved to walk. To take walks, in the forests of Washington, on the trails of the Rockies, on the cliffs of Southern Utah, or the beaches of Antelope Island, anywhere there was nature, beauty and fresh air to behold, he walked his babies, his clients, his family, his friends, himself. Stanley''s religion was the pursuit of creating a better world all around him from living foods, to fresh air, to pristine earth. He was a wildfire, a passionate hot breath unquenchable in his desire for fullness in family life, music, art performance, peace, internal growth and renewal. He is a song that dances in the wind endlessly delivering breath and inspiration, love and togetherness to all he touches.
Stan is survived by his wife, Melissa Smith, of Clearfield; his sons, Julian Silas Parkin and Eheieh Singer Parkin and his daughter, Isobel Etoile Meli Pilomaya. He is survived by his grandmother, Minnie Ludean Parkin of Clearfield; parents, Wallace Dan (Sandra L.) Parkin of Clearfield and Cheryl Jolene Parkin of Layton; his brothers, Eric Daniel (Kari Lynne) Parkin of Clearfield and Landon Paul Parkin of Layton and his eight cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Stanley Maurice Jensen and brother Kyle Anthony Parkin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Aultorest Cemetery, Ogden.
A special thanks to the North Davis Fire District for the compassionate love and support they gave to Melissa and her family.
