Stanley Riley

The world lost a gentle giant in a tragic accident on November 15. 2013. Stanley Joseph Riley was born in Salt Lake City, on April 11, 1958 to Joseph Conrad and Marlene Campbell Riley.

Stan spent much of his childhood in Brigham City then graduated from Granger High School in 1976. He met the love of his life, Jeanette Wood, while both were employed at Harmons. They married on September 9, 1977 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and later became the proud parents of four sons.

Stan loved people and his work. He especially loved the kids he transported to and from school daily. Stan found the good in all people and all situations. He had a gift for making people laugh and a nickname for everyone.

He is survived by his wife, his sons, Nick, Tyler (Kendra), Kyle, and Sean; his parents, his brothers, Michael (Judy), Rob (Tammy), and Mark (Treasa); five grandchildren, mother-in-law, Wilma Wood; brother and sister in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Stan was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, father-in-law, brother in law, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 5380 West 5400 South, Kearns, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.

Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates, Taylorsville.

In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been established in his name at any America First Credit Union branch location.
