Stella Rose Chivers Harris

October 4, 1920 ~ May 24, 2015

Stella Rose Chivers Harris, 94, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015.  She was born in Lewisville, Idaho, the daughter of Hyrum Richards and Emma Rose Kinghorn Chivers.  She attended Lewisville Elementary, Lewisville High School and Ricks College.

She married Grant Edward Harris in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 9, 1941.  He passed away shortly after they celebrated their 50 th Wedding Anniversary in 1991.

She was a marvelous cook. She loved music and sang with the Melodaires in St. Anthony, Idaho.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and genealogy.

Stella was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many ward and stake positions.

She was a longtime resident of St. Anthony, Idaho, but spent her later years in Ogden, Utah.

Stella is loved and cherished by her family and many friends.

Stella is survived by her sons, Richard (Marilyn), North Ogden; Steven (Sharon), Logan; Robert, Plain City; and Neil (Shirley) Montpelier, ID; daughter, Susan, Klamath Falls, OR; 27 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.

The family would like to thank Crestwood Care Center, Intermountain Hospice, and the Crestwood LDS Branch for their tender and loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Ben Lomond 5 th Ward, 3350 North 1050 East, North Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment at 4 p.m. at the Riverview Cemetery, St. Anthony, Idaho.  Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
