Stephen Whitbeck

Stephen David Whitbeck died on June 27, 2021 at Utah Valley Hospital in Orem, Utah.
He was born April 12, 1957, in Portland, Oregon, the son of David W. and Patricia (Koupal) Whitbeck. His family relocated to Pacifica, California when he was 10 years old where he enjoyed the small coastal community. Seven years later his family relocated to Cypress, California.

Steve’s heart was in the Bay area where he would return to visit throughout his adult life. He also resided in various cities in Utah.

Steve was a kind soul and friendly to all he met. He would often give away his belongings to help someone in greater need than himself. He was a free spirit that loved to travel to Hawaii and camp along the coast.

Steve is survived by his sister, Nancy (Randy) Moss of Mountain Green, Utah; his brother, Barry (Teresa Chapman) Whitbeck of Ogden, Utah; his brother, Ted (Patti Stoker) Whitbeck of Tooele, Utah; his sister, Lyn (Chad) Cooper of Santa Clarita, California; 21 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. He was particularly close to his cousin Julie Hosick of Morgan, Utah and also to his nephew Brandon Whitbeck.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Bradley Whitbeck.

His last words were, "I love you guys!"
