Sterling W. Carmichael
OGDEN a" Our loving father, grandfather and brother, Sterling William Carmichael, 70, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2009.
He was born March 22, 1939 in Tacoma, Washington, a son of Sterling Alexander and Margaret Cain Carmichael.
Sterling married Judy Ann Brooks in June of 1970 and from this union came five loving children.
He was a member of St. Joseph''s Catholic Church.
Sterling served his country with the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a salesman for over 35 years.
He was an avid sports fan, loved to read, take drives and spend time around people. He enjoyed his cats, Angus and Savannah. Most of all, Sterling loved and treasured his faith and family.
Surviving are his children, Laura (Glen) Stone, Leah (Phillip) Marsh, Alex (Alli) Carmichael, Rebecca (Rob) Moser, Thomas Carmichael and 20 grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Carmen (Phillip) Caspersen.
Preceding Sterling in death were his parents.
His contagious laugh, bright smile, and infinite wisdom will be dearly missed.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph''s Catholic Church, 514 a" 24th Street.
Holy Rosary will be recited at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
