LAYTON – Sterling J. White died May 20, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 4, 1933 in Smithfield, Utah to William and Alta White.
He married his soul-mate Colleen Langford on June 4, 1954. She died August 16, 2003.
Dad was an amazing artist. His artwork fills many homes of his family and friends. He shared his love of music by teaching both his daughters how to play the violin. He taught himself how to play eight more instruments. He loved square dancing with his wife and two daughters. Dad was a member of the LDS church and loved coaching the ward softball teams. He also had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. His yard was always landscaped so nice.
Dad’s kindness was felt by his wife who he took care of for so many years while she was ill, by his daughters and grandchildren and the many animals that he rescued and nurtured back to health. Dad was quiet, but had a great sense of humor.
We love him and will miss him so much. He and mom can finally be together again.
He is survived by: Daughters; Brenda (Jim) Leonard, Judy (Kevin) Baker; brothers; William White, Allen (Myrna) White, Chad (Suzanne) White, Val (Marilyn) White; sister; June (Bud) Langford, also ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Colleen, his parents, and his sister Faye Marley.
