ROY a€" Steve Peter Kaminsky, 92, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at McKay-Dee Hospital following a heart attack.

He was born August 20, 1918 in McDonaldton, Pennsylvania, a son of John and Anna Kuchar Kaminsky.

On September 3, 1953, Steve married Myrtle E. Hepworth in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death December 21, 1997.

Steve was a member of the Catholic Church St. Mary''s Parrish.

He grew up in Indiana. He was well traveled with the military.

He served his country with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1966. Steve was a WWII Veteran and P.O.W. for three and a half years. As he always said, "A guest of the Emperor" in the Philippines and Japan.

He worked as a supply clerk for the military and as a civil servant.

Steve was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are one son and two daughters, David (Debra) Kaminsky, Brigham City; Zoe-Ann Kaminsky, Roy; Kimberly Dawn Kaminsky, Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Magdalen "Maggie" Dooley, Hammond, IN.

Preceding Steve in death were his wife Myrtle, parents, one brother, four sisters and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will visit with friends at the mortuary on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
