Steven Ray Huntley

Steven Ray Huntley, 66, passed away in his home on the morning of December 9, 2019 in Richmond, Utah, with his family surrounding him. Steven was born on June 2, 1953 to Hazel Cunningham and Bill Huntley in Walla Walla, Washington.
Steven grew up in Washington State with his siblings until he enlisted in the Army at the age of 17. He later enlisted in the Marines where he fought courageously for his country in Vietnam. He was then honorably discharged in October of 1975.
He later moved to Utah, where he was a mechanic and a jack of all trades. He then met the love of his life, Lapreal in August 1989. After about 2.5 months of dating the two married in Elko, NV, on November 18, 1989. Steve had two children, six grandchildren, and many fur babies.
Steve is survived by his son, Robert (Jennifer) McMillan, Sr.; daughter, Jaime (James) Doxey; five grandchildren, Bobby (Ashley) Doxey, Robert McMillan, Jr., Joseph McMillan, Jocelyn Doxey, and Trinity McMillan; sister, Billene Westerman; and brother, Bud Huntley.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Lapreal Huntley; mother, Hazel Cunningham; mother, Verna Lee “Boots” Huntley; father, Bill Huntley; sister, Virginia “Ginny” Hill; sister, Gayle Hawkinson; and granddaughter, Brittany McMillan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
