Steven L. Johnson
1947 – 2014
Steven Lee Johnson was born December 5, 1947 to Helen E and Orval Lee Johnson in Provo, Utah. His siblings are: Robert, ViAnn, Sharon and Russell. They lived by the Provo River and he spent his childhood swimming, fishing, rafting and playing in the river.
Steven married his sweetheart, Shuree Smith when they were just out of high school and together they traveled the world. He always said no place on earth could compare to the beauty of Utah.
Steven loved baseball. He played, coached and watched it avidly. He could never pass a game in progress without stopping to watch, no matter the age of the players.
Steven passed away June 9, 2014 after suffering a lifetime of health problems. Through it all he never complained or lost his amazing sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Shuree, sons; Derek and Greg (Jenney, who he considered his daughter), his grandchildren: Zach (Brittanny), Amanda, Fayth (Brett) Bushman, Katie, Brittney, Autumn, Hunter and April, seven amazing great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Abner.
He was preceded in death by his grandson McKade, parents and sister ViAnn.
My Dearest Dunlop, I’m going to miss you more than I can express but I’m so glad you are no longer in pain or struggling just to breathe. I know you are at peace now and that you will watch over and protect us all. I love you forever, Ma.
