Steven Mark LaFollette
December 14, 1991 – March 14, 2017
Our Son, brother and friend, Steven LaFollette returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on March 14, 2017. Steven was born on December 14, 1991 to Vickie Johnson and Mark LaFollette. A smart student, he graduated from Syracuse High School in 2010.
Steven possessed many gifts and talents. He had a knack for mixing music as well as playing the guitar, singing and drawing. Despite his challenges, he found joy in the little things; hiking in nature, attending movies with friends, online gaming or playing board games with his family.
He had a soft, quiet demeanor about him and was a loyal friend. Steven had an especially close bond with his younger sister, Shannon, a bond that death cannot break. Steven lived with depression and anxiety for many years. Though he attempted multiple times and in multiple ways too restore his mental health, it proved to painful for him to remain in his mortal body any longer. We know that what held him in bondage here on earth, he is free of in death. Steven is finally at peace. He was loved by so many and missed beyond words.
Steven is survived by his mother Vickie and stepfather Carter Johnson who raised him, his sister Shannon Johnson, stepsister Lindsey, stepbrothers Dan (Tanya), Darren (Leigh), and grandparents. He is preceded in death by his father Mark LaFollette, Grandma Dickamore, and Grandma and Grandpa Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 to 8:45 a.m. prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment, Willard Cemetery
The Johnson family would like to thank all who have supported and comforted them during this difficult time.
