STEVEN R. "Sage" Meske 6/20/48-10/24/2011

Our beloved husband, father, brother and PaPa passed through the veil, with his wife and son by his side after succumbing to pulmonary fibrosis caused by Scleroderma. Although he suffered with his illness for many years, he always put others first.

Steve was a devoted member of the LDS church. He served in the Elder''s Quorum Presidency and was currently in the High Priest Group where he served faithfully until his death. Steve had a pure testimony of our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ.

Steve worked for Cummins Intermountain Diesel for 37 years. When Steve could no longer work, he helped raise his precious granddaughter Kaylee.

Steve served his country by enlisting in the Marine Corps for four years. He volunteered many hours at the VA Hospital working with Dr. Grant Cannon.

Steven and Michelle were married for 22 years and were sealed for time and eternity in the Bountiful Temple

He is preceded in death by his parents, William R. Meske and Ella May Meske. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; his sons Robert Meske, Robert and Devin Falkner; granddaughter, Kaylee Falkner; sister, Sue Pace (Blaine); brother, Bill (Juanita) Meske; mother-in-law Donna Blamires; in-laws Shawna and Mike Oliveria, Gary and Judy Rigby, Melanie Sessions, Bruce and Marta Rigby, many nieces and nephews and his "sweetheart" Brookie.

We would like to thank Dr. Shelby Dames for taking such good care of Steve during his illness.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Val Verda Stake Center, 2651 S. 500 W. Bountiful, Utah. Friends may visit with the family Friday, October 28, from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. and on Saturday from 9:30 am-10:30 am prior to the services.
