Steven Mitchell Adams, 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend was born July 11, 1944 to Joseph B. Adams and Ruby M. Adams in Ogden, Utah.  He passed away on December 30, 2018 at his home in Layton, Utah. He was raised in Layton, Utah.  He graduated from his loved Davis High School, class of 1962, where he was an accomplished athlete.

In his youth he worked on the Cowley Family ranch in Wyoming, where he spent many summers and developed a strong work ethic.  Steve chose a career in auto sales and later his own business in R.V. Sales.

He met and married the love of his life, Brenda J. Stevens on July 26, 1969.  With this marriage came two beautiful children, Trent & Tori Strayhorn.  Together they had a wonderful life.  They loved to travel, camp, ride motorcycles, fish and golf.  His greatest accomplishment was the clearing of the land and building of a beautiful log home in Hamilton, Montana.  It was his joy to explore this beautiful country.  He and Brenda loved being so close to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and Glacier National Park which they visited and explored with all that came.

Steve was a talented wood worker and created lamps, and many beautiful tables which he has in their home. Steve had a love for knowledge and was an avid reader of books of all kinds.  He also loved to debate and thrilled at a challenging conversation.  He had many friends and was an avid golfer sharing many rounds of golf with them.

Steve loved his family, he completely loved Trent and Tori and raised them as his own. Trent and wife Leslie live in Willard, Utah. He has three grandchildren, Jordan (Whitney) Gardner of Taylorsville, Kinsey (Jesson) Hamblin of Roy, Ashlee Strayhorn of Willard, and three great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Brenda of Layton, his sister Sandra (Paul) Smith, Kaysville, brother Joel (Connie) of Layton.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Tori Strayhorn Gardner.
